Sword/Shield & Greatsword Tank Build Setup for Throne and Liberty
In this section, we will provide an overview of the key elements of the build, including stats, passives, skills, and equipment.
Stats:
The primary stat to focus on for this tank build is Strength, which enhances your melee weapon damage, HP, and Resistances. The latter two are particularly crucial for tanks.
Weapons:
Main-hand: Sword & Shield
Off-hand: Greatsword
Our main-hand weapon is the Sword & Shield, while the Greatsword serves as our off-hand weapon. It's important to note that the passives from the off-hand weapon remain active even when using the Sword & Shield. The majority of skills and passives in this build are derived from the Sword & Shield, as it offers the best options for survivability, crowd control, and protecting allies. However, a few skills have been selected from the Greatsword, which also provides crowd control capabilities and serves as a viable option for damage output, especially when playing solo or leveling up.
Equipment:
Armour and Jewelry
During the leveling phase of this build, gear is not a major concern. Gear becomes more significant after reaching level 50. Therefore, focus on equipping whatever you come across and prioritize leveling up your skills.
Skills:
Below, we will explain the skills utilized in this Tank Build. The majority of skills are from the Sword and Shield tree, as they excel in crowd control, protecting allies, and taunting enemies. However, a few skills from the Greatsword tree are also incorporated, as this weapon offers effective crowd control abilities.
Skills and Passives Upgrade Priority:
Upgrading skills and passives in the correct order greatly enhances combat effectiveness in Throne and Liberty. However, this process can be time-consuming due to the requirement of "Growth Stones" for upgrades, with higher quality stones being more challenging to obtain. Therefore, it is crucial to plan ahead and prioritize which skills to upgrade first.
